CNN is dedicated to our hospitals and facility customers in providing quality nursing personnel. In order to provide highly effective nurse staffing services, CNN follows established principals and guidelines to ensure competency on a consistent basis. Specific requirements must be met by all prospective employees and are outlined below for your review. We follow all current standards of the Joint Commission on Accreditation of Healthcare Organizations (JCAHO). All clinical nursing professionals shall maintain the following requirements:
- Current professional license with the appropriate Board of Nursing. The license shall be in good standing
- Two satisfactory relevant professional references
- Copy and verifiable BLS and any additional certifications as required
by designated areas (ACLS, PALS, NRP, TNCC, etc.)
- Minimum of (1) year current, relevant experience. (2) in hemodialysis
- Acceptable background verifications including Criminal Background check and OIG List of Excluded Entities
- Current physical examination
- Negative PPD within (1) year or chest X-ray within (2) years
- MMR immunization record (titer or booster, if necessary)
- Hepatitis B series (titer or booster, if necessary) or declination signed
- Negative (10) Panel drug screen prior to placement
- Completion of clinical skills checklist
- Proof of passing score on medication examination (>80% then corrected to 100%)
- Completion of JCAHO-required trainings on universal precautions, fire safety, age-specific competencies, moving and transferring patients and safety
- Completion of OSHA-required training in occupational exposure to blood-borne pathogens
- Appropriate documentation for compliance with I-9 documentation
